Homemade Lemonade Syrup

I really love San Pellegrino Limonata, for fun I decided to make a homemade alternative.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 cups lemon juice (13-16 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoon grated lemon peel

Directions

-In a pot bring water to boil, dissolve sugar, and let cool.  Add lemon juice and peel, mix well. Cover and store in the refrigerator.

-For 1 serving, combine 1/4 cup of syrup with 1 cup cold soda water in a glass and stir well. For 8 servings, combine 1.5 cups of syrup and 5 cups cold soda water in a pitcher, stir well and serve.

This recipe is super addictive, great for cocktails, and freezes well. Can't wait to make this again soon.

I was feeling really inspired so I upgraded the drink by adding a splash of rosewater, raspberries, and a shot of vodka.

Mandatory Bailey Update

Bailey found a bag big enough to crawl into.

A one point Roxy tried to climb in to join him ..... that didnt go so well for her.

Looks lovely and I'm sure it taste amazing. Absolutely going to try. Only just discovered your blog today, but will come again. I love your cat as well. I lost mine in may due to old age - miss her. Unfortunately I'm allergic - so no more for me. But I can enjoy yours on photos. I do a lot of photograpy as well, but still have a lot to learn. But having so much fun doing so. Have a lovely weekend.
