Elissar + Evan's White Point Beach Wedding

It was a beautiful summer day when I was the wedding photographer for Elissar and Evan’s White Point Beach wedding. This couple was so much fun and their ceremony and reception at the White Point Beach Resort in Queens County was SO memorable. I couldn’t wait to share the photographs from their July wedding on the blog today.

White Point Beach Wedding Photography

This family knows how to have fun. I first met Evan’s family when I was the wedding photographer for his sister, Jenna. I captured Jenna and Vince's Cape Breton wedding at Keltic Lodge only a few years ago. That beautiful beach wedding gave me the chance to get to know this lovely family so well! I was so happy to be a part of celebrating more life and family events with them.

Elissar and Evan’s White Point Beach wedding had so many memorable, sweet moments. It’s clear how much love and support there is for the bride and groom. I loved taking pictures with the wedding party-- especially when I ventured out to Carter’s Beach with this crew! The water at Carter’s Beach is so dreamy and tropical looking. Everyone was so brave to venture out onto the rocks for photos (I love you all!).

An Oceanfront White Point Beach Wedding Ceremony

The oceanfront wedding ceremony was pure magic. Elissar and Evan’s good friend, Luke, sang them down the aisle. Elissar was a wedding planning pro. She put so much thought into picking the perfect colours to make these images perfect. From the blooms in the bouquets to the perfect shade of raspberry pink for the bridesmaids’ dresses, everything was meticulously tied in together. I love how the colors perfectly complement the blue of the ocean. Not only that, but Elissar’s gown had just the softest hint of pink to it, making it literally the perfect shade for her.

It's this level of thought and detail that elevates a wedding from beautiful to unforgettably gorgeous. And that’s exactly what this wedding was. Unforgettable. Elissar and Evan said “I do” overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with a perfect crystal blue sky. It was simply flawless.

There were so many memorable moments at this White Point Beach wedding but I have to say that my favorite moment was going out to the beach at sunset with Elissar and Evan. They were just beaming with happiness, love, and everything felt perfect in the world! These few minutes frolicking in the sand and surf together made my heart so incredibly happy. These two light up a room and are incredibly in love with each other. They may have been together for years, but I swear they are smitten as if they had just met! That's the kind of love I think we should all have. I was so happy to be able to capture their first sunset as husband and wife.

Elissar, Evan, your love is the love that novels and movies are written about. I am just so happy I could be there to capture your happily ever after at your White Point Beach wedding. Thank you for honoring me with the privilege of being your wedding photographer.

Sarah + Dylan's Kings Wharf Engagement

On July 15, I was fortunate enough to be able to meet up with Sarah and Dylan at King’s Wharf in Dartmouth to photograph their engagement session. I loved spending the evening with this lovely couple and I am so happy they asked me to be their engagement photographer.

An Engagement Session at King’s Wharf

Sarah and Dylan invited me to spend time with them on their boat. We spent such a nice time together relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the evening on their boat before heading out to capture their engagement photos. I love when I can get to know my clients during an engagement session. After chatting with them and finding so many things in common, it felt like I had known them for years!

This couple certainly lives a life of fun and adventure, enjoying time on their boat and living in downtown Dartmouth. We cruised around on their boat, heading out to explore behind George’s Island. The wind off the water kept lifting Sarah’s hair. She looked so relaxed and at ease on the boat! As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, we circled back to downtown Halifax and popped some sweet bubbly. They even served it in Nova Scotia crystal glasses!

These two are beyond sweet. The way that they make each other laugh was just amazing. There was such an effortless level of intimacy and connection between these two. You could tell how very much in love they are. The whole evening felt so easy! It truly felt like I had been friends with this couple for ages.

Sarah, Dylan, thank you for inviting me to spend such a lovely evening on your boat at King’s Wharf. I had such a wonderful time getting to know you and enjoying the beautiful sunset. I’m so happy we were able to capture such wonderful photos during your engagement session on the water!
