Hannah and Marc were married on October 7th, with a ceremony and reception at the Gahan House in Halifax.
I was actually introduced to this couple through a dear friend, Alyson. She rocked it as a beautiful bridesmaid in this wedding, too! It’s always a joy when I get recommendations, because that tells me my friends believe in what I do enough to trust me with such huge events.
Hannah and Marc’s Gahan House Wedding
There was so much happiness in the air at this wedding, I swear, you could pick it up with your hands. But that’s no surprise, since I knew from their engagement session that this bride and groom were capable of that kind of joy. Trust me: none of it disappointed! Everything from frolicking in the rain to getting that first look under the iconic tree was exactly as fun as I knew it would be with these two.
The one thing that I will always remember is the love letters Hannah and Marc wrote each other—and the references they made to those letters throughout the night. As a wedding photographer, I often hear a lot of “talk” about love, but it’s nice to see the “action” of love. These two have documented their journey and freely share their story, something I have decided to incorporate into my own life since this wedding. They inspired me that much!
They even poured their heart and passion into the details. The plant holders were hand-made, and the wooden details were made with wood from Hannah’s grandfather’s property. Gahan House thoughtfully curated a menu with food and drink choices that reflected Hannah and Marc’s story in an artful way—while being too delish for words! As for the dreamiest flowers you have ever seen, that’s all thanks to my dear friend Koko mod. And the DJ, True North, kept the party beyond bumping all night!
Hannah & Marc, your life, your love, and your story are such an inspiration. The happy energy that exudes from you both is contagious. If this day is the embodiment of the rest of your lives, let each and every day be even just a fraction as joyful as this celebration.
