Danielle and Mike eloped on August 2nd, with a ceremony and reception at Oceanstone.
When these two love birds contacted me to capture their seaside Oceanstone elopement, my heart pitter-pattered, and I couldn’t say no. It was so easy to fall into friendship with the two of them—not only because we had mutual friends but because they excel at sharing their warmth and love with everyone around them. Loving them is a piece of cake! And being their wedding photographer was just as simple!
Danielle and Mike’s Oceanstone Wedding
Their day was filled with only the best things—friends, family, and drinks by the ocean. As any Nova Scotian can tell you, weddings here come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and weather patterns, and we were so tickled that the day turned out to be warm and sunny for them, with just the right amount of breeze. I love it when a wedding day comes together so well!
At one point, we were able to head out on the rocks, barefoot, at sunset! This small escape seemed to complete the whole day, and we all enjoyed that time getting a breath as we watched the day turn into night. It can be so important to take moments like that during a wedding and really reflect instead of rushing from one thing to the next, and I’m glad we did. It was pure Oceanstone wedding day magic.
I also could go on and on about the bouquet that Danielle picked out for herself. She opted for a wildflower bouquet that was filled with the prettiest blooms! It absolutely fit her personality, too.
Mike & Danielle, thank you for asking me to be part of your seaside elopement. I wish you both nothing but happiness as you take on the world together.
